I have been so concerned with spacial considerations in my work lately that it has become the most prominent characteristic of my dreams.
I dreamed I was on a series of small islands covered in urban atmosphere. Each island had its own feel to it: there was the downtown island, the island where my house was, and island of factories, and so on. Each island was only the size of a football field or so, but there were no roads connecting them. Instead my companions and I had to climb into tear-drop shaped rollercoaster cars which were positioned on a ramp. Each island had a ramp on one of its four sides, pointing to the island next door. Passengers were launched to the adjacent island from the ramp, the cart would land on the beach, and the passengers would continue to their destination.
