World 8-1
Strange Dreams

Had a frightening dream of being in deep space, where there was an overwhelming atmosphere of claustrophobia and solitude.  It all began on a small, red moon in the discarded half of a ship.  The discarded wreckage and its associated ship were owned by some sort of ‘villain’, whom I had to track to another small planet nearby.
I did so only to find that he was deceased, which left me with the goal of getting home.  Spacewalking was impossible due to the awareness of weightlessness and lack of air, and there was a serious tension in plotting a return home.  Other than myself, my ship was home to a large amount of cats.  Refusing to abandon them in deep space, I had to determine how much food was available and the time it would take to return home.  I counted 28 cats onboard, with enough catfood to last the 300+ days for the return journey to earth.   Aside from the cats companionship, it felt like an abysmally lonely trip, looking forward to a year of space travel in what was essentially a small, metal box.
