In a short dream I had, I was wandering through a Sears-like department store, in the microwave and oven section. As an advertising gimmick, each of the ovens and microwaves had a live chicken, turkey or duck wandering around in it, all looking understandably frightened.
Had a rather long dream in which my girlfriend and I, along with a couple friends, went out to eat at a bad mexican food restaurant and went shopping in the “Gnome Village”. Along the way we ran into my dad, who we helped to solve the riddle of the fifth horcrux, and then afterwards I lost track of everyone when they went to watch the oil fields display.
In my latest dream I was in a small town where the active culture surrounded themselves with tools of divination. Most people used these tools to predict who would make a good mate for them, or to help them find one. One girl I met, named “FSL” had just sold her divination items to a local pawn shop. Later on in the dream I found myself in the pawn shop, where I found the girls “chips”, which is what kind of divination tools she had. I bought them. They looked like a string-bead necklace, but the beads were about a half inch in size, and instead of being made of a traditional construction material, they were made of segments of hollowed out human bone. Each bead/chip had two or three symbols carved into its surface around its circumference.
Another girl and I took them to a specialist to teach me how to read the chips. I can’t remember specifics, but lengthy parts of the dream were explanations from the specialist. You had to rotate the individual beads until the characters or symbols were shown pertaining to a question you wanted to ask it. Then you had to perform several simple mathematical functions corresponding between the beads, and the current phase of the moon. It was all very technical and strange.
Had a dream in which I was part of a submarine crew. The submarine itself was a massive, luxurious research vessel, almost a high-tech mansion. Some rooms were full of aquariums while others were living forests. There were about 8 of us total, and we had just picked up two specimens of life that were possibly alien; newly hatched worm-like animals that had two heads each, no eyes, and mouths full of teeth (yet they were friendly, like calm puppies).
Some government wanting them for itself sent another submarine after us to claim them. We spent a while avoiding them, until eventually some of the androids in their crew managed to infiltrate our sub, after their automated helicopters shot through our skylight. They treated our crew horribly, making us angry, and managed to pilot our sub back to their own where they loaded the new lifeforms into their docking bay. The aliens were now feeling ill and nearly comatose, because we hadn’t properly set their nests in contact with one another (which was a requirement for this species at birth). We knew the aliens would die if the other submarine crew was not informed of this fact. They did not care though, and afterwards they tied us all up and left us.
We managed to free ourselves, and found a tunnel under the ocean floor that lead to where their sub was parked. In the tunnel we met 1700 refugees who had also been wronged by the government submarine crew in some way. They were also preparing the seek revenge, so together we snuck into their sub and beat up their crew rather harshly. My cat woke me up before we were able to reclaim our alien friends.
My previous dream reminded me of a past dream with similar themes. The world was a series of massive caves made of thick, non-sticky spiderweb. There was one person in this world who had a ‘virus’ of some sort, and he was spreading it to each of the people in the world. Slowly over the course of the dream he managed to take over every person in the world except for me. I was able to blend in to the crowds at times in order to avoid detection, but he and everyone in the world was trying to locate and convert me. The virus being spread around was similar to a zombification, so once I was discovered I was able to outmaneuver them, though most of the time I was squeezing through packed caverns of hundreds of people, all trying to restrain me and brainwash me as well.
I was interrupted from a dream where an ex-coworker and I were sneaking through a series of rooms inhabited by people who had chips implanted in their heads. We were supposed to blend in and get to the source of the operations in order to stop it from happening. A girl stopped us thinking we were one of them, and offered us a strong pill to stop the powerful migraines that were side-effects of the brain-implant. We pocketed the pills and continued on, until a knock at my apartment door woke me up.
Last night I dreamt that I was in another video-game like environment; something that rarely ever happens to me. In it I was proceeding quietly through a series of caves, but these caves were composed of large, polygonal objects that composed the walls, floors and obstacles. Each cave was distinctly separate and was a different color to itself, gray, blue, purple, etc. In each area I would sneak through to avoid the other people within, locate an object, and clumsily manipulate it to provide a hiding space for myself, or to move it to a specified “goal” in order to proceed to the next cave. The interaction with these objects was similar to a clumsy physics-based game.
In my latest dream I was in some “virtual world”, though myself and all other humans looked normal. The urban landscape we inhabited looked like google earth if it were rendered with a black background and blue and orange neon lines outlining streets, buildings and other major details.
I was in the company of college buddies and we were wandering around the city streets on a night out. We could zoom out of the “map” to about 1000 ft., which gave me vertigo. We also would knock on peoples doors, and the interiors would display their homes in the real-world, except the quality of the image varied relative to the quality of their net connection. Very Snow Crash-ish, which I think was the inspiration for the scenario. The sense of consistency with this environment made it one of my most surreal dreams ever.
I recalled an older dream where I was being chased by a massive, very slow, sentient tornado. I ran through overhead hedges and brambles until stumbling upon an old house. I hid in the house for some time, conscious of the tornado growing closer in search of me, and finally contactacting the house I was in. My patience and nerve wore out and I opened the door leading out into the hall to face it. I could see the tornado in the hall through the door, spinning at a nearly imperceptibly slow rate, appearing as nothing more than a enormous column of opaque, twisting gray threads of varying thickness. The walls and frame of the house around it were shattered and held nearly frozen in space, and I could view the tiniest details of this terrifying destruction as everything was in slow motion except for me.
A recent dream I had was similar to a real-life online RPG; hundreds of people running through massive areas fighting monsters. The exception with the dream were the subtly realistic, and unconventionally situational scenarios for encounters. When entering a large ruin or palace, the first encounter was a semi maze-like room with pretty Mexican girls stationed at each doorway. When you would approach them they would softly repeat the same phrase in Spanish, trying to draw your attention to their eyes. If you looked directly into their eyes, they would say a spell that would teleport you immediately back to whichever side of the room you entered from originally, so you would have to start over and attempt to navigate the maze without ever making eye contact with them. The following room was guarded by knights, who would obstruct your path and dance erratically. If you did not successfully copy their dancing they would attack, and could usually kill with one hit.
